A SCOTS carer has been struck off for a violent assault that left her sufferer scarred and bruised – which she tried to cover from her employer.
Michelle Doak was employed as a social employee with Hansel Alliance in Kilmarnock, North Ayrshire when she dedicated the assault in June 2021.
Disgraced Doak’s brutal assault noticed her enter an unnamed member of the general public’s house and beat them across the head.
Her actions left the person with a bruised cheek, a fractured rib and a lip laceration which has since turn out to be a scar.
Regardless of being arrested for her actions, Doak failed to tell each her employer and care watchdog the Scottish Social Providers Council (SSSC), resulting in an investigation into Doak’s health to practise by the latter.
The complete report states: “We determined there may be proof that whereas employed as a assist employee with Hansel Alliance at Hansel Village in Symington, Kilmarnock, you probably did:
“On or round 5 June 2021: enter ZZ’s property with one other and hit ZZ on the top, trigger or contribute to ZZ sustaining bodily accidents particularly:
“Bruising to the left cheek, laceration to left higher lip which left a everlasting scar, fracture to ZZ’s rib
“[You did] trigger or contribute to ZZ struggling misery and psychological trauma because of your actions.
“Between 5 June and 12 August 2021:
“Fail to tell your employer of the truth that you had been arrested by the police in relation to a felony offence of assault.
“Fail to tell the SSSC of the actual fact you had been arrested by the police in relation to a felony offence of assault.”
The SSSC panel discovered Doak’s health to apply was impaired, saying: “You assaulted a member of the general public inflicting them bodily and emotional hurt.”
“Violent behaviour is severe because it signifies values and attitudes incompatible with registration in a caring and accountable occupation.”
“You could have did not show developed perception into your actions and the consequences of your actions towards the member of the general public.
“There are issues about your angle and values that are much less simply remediated.”
“You failed to tell your employer and the SSSC that you just had been charged by police with a felony offence of assault.
“Such a failure meant that an acceptable threat evaluation was not in a position to happen in a well timed method which positioned service customers at a possible threat of hurt.”
“The behaviour is severe and there’s a threat of repetition.”
Doak, who confirmed no remorse or regret for her actions, and issued no apology, was faraway from the register as of yesterday (WED).
