SCOTTISH electricians’ new two-year wage settlement has been praised by commerce affiliation SELECT, who known as the deal a “constructive answer.”

The deal will see charges of pay for electricians, apprentices and grownup trainees rise by 7% in 2024 and an additional 5% in 2025.

The brand new wage settlement has been introduced following prolonged negotiations between SELECT, the Electrical Contractors’ Affiliation (ECA) and Unite the Union.

The deal will apply throughout the UK and can come into impact in January 2024.
